Cwmni Gwynant was formed in 2001 by a group of local residents to buy Capel Bethania when it closed as a place of worship. The chapel, which was built in 1822, has now been renovated as a Café and is popular with tourists and walkers, being located at the start of the Watkin Path up Snowdon.

Ffurfiwyd Cwmni Gwynant cyf gan 7 o bobl i brynu Capel Bethania yn 2001 pan gaewyd y Capel fel lle addoli. Adeiladwyd y capel yn 1822, ac mae nawr wedi ei adnewyddu fel caffi. Wedi ei leoli wrth droed yr Wyddfa yn agos at ddechrau Llwybr Watkin, mae'n boblogaidd iawn hefo twristiaid a cherddwyr.

Café serving Local Produce

Gwynant Café is located in the renovated chapel, and serves snacks, meals and drinks using Fairtrade and local produce. Crafts made by local craftspeople are also available for sale.

Stunning Location in Snowdonia

Capel Bethania is in a scenic rural location in the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales. It is close to the start of the Watkin Path up to the summit of Snowdon.
