This fomer chapel now converted into a café is located at the start of the Watkin Path up to the summit of Snowdon. This is a beautiful location in Nant Gwynant (the Gwynant Valley) between Beddgelert and Capel Curig at the heart of the Snowdonia National Park.

The area is very popular with walkers (about 70,000 walkers a year go up the Watkin Path), and many other activities such as mountain biking, birdwatching (there are Ospreys near Beddgelert), and climbing are well catered for.

There are also many tourist attractions such the steam railways of the Snowdon Mountain Railway and the Welsh Highland Railways, and historic castles including Caernarfon Castle and Dolbadarn Castle near Llanberis.
